Emily Naranjo, LCSW

Chief Executive Officer

I've been asked before "Why did you decide to become a counselor?". Many years ago I went through my own personal challenges as a teenager and found myself in the office of a psychotherapist. I remember how compassionate and accepting she was of me. The counseling sessions gave me knowledge and insight to make changes in my life. My hope for my clients is the same...to gain the insight and tools they need to make life changing decisions to improve their lives.

My passion to help others lead me to a career in  behavioral healthcare starting in 2002 as a case manager for the severe and persistent mentally ill. With a desire to grow professionally, I completed the Masters of Social Work graduate program at Florida Gulf Coast University in 2006. By 2009 I was a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. In 2012 I became a Qualified Supervisor for those seeking to become Licensed Clinical Social Workers in the state of Florida.

I have worked in various levels of care that have included prevention, outpatient mental health and addiction counseling, intensive outpatient program for co-occurring teens, emergency services and assessment center and adult residential addiction programs.

I have held various positions of leadership over the past 10 years that have included being the clinical supervisor of outpatient and inpatient Mental Health and Addiction programs, supervisor of addiction technicians and intake services for a world renowned national addiction program for adults. I have served as a board member of Mothers Against Drunk Driving 2012-2015 and David Lawrence Center Young Executives 2014-2015. I was a member of community coalitions such as Drug Free Collier Coalition 2010-2015 and the Collier County Youth Resource Center 2010-2015.
